UPDATE 09.28.2017 : You can now get the Wicked Daddy’s Cobalt Corkscrew here.
First off, officially meet Poppy (the model in the photo). A mythically wonderful spirit of goodness, both Little and ….a little Wicked. You will definitively see more of her, SwitchVixen, and a few more…..
Now onto the posting:
It had come to my realization just today that roughly 20% of the products that Wicked Daddy will be carrying are either custom or brought back to manufacturing after 8 years or more (which still means you will only find it here). Toys wondrous Toys = Joys wondrous Joys. My Autistic brain actually marvels whenever I make simple discoveries like this and that my brain should have realized/known all along (It’s akin to discovering that grass is green or that they make a Bacon Flavored Ranch dressing that actually tastes like Bacon…lol).
Over the last week we have had a few new visitors to “Wicked Wonka and the Decadent Factory ” – the apparent current nickname from the crew that describes what is in reality my home (albeit now besieged by over 3 tons of product). The only recourse I have had is being able to call all the minions my “Oooooohhh-Paloompas” – something which has not deterred the references but instead allowed for some very painfully poor renditions of “Oooohhhpa, Ooooohhhpa, Oooooh-pa-DeDo” parodies that will make your eyes roll so hard you will fall over. <Thankfully that is not the skills I pay them for>.
The fun has also ushered in a seriousness to the delays against our timetables. With great pain we had to let go of one of our team members recently. I know this is felt across everyone – and the slipped fact that Wicked Daddy took out a personal loan to cover the added costs of the delays has been sobering to everyone. Despite that, I have tried to reiterate how FUCKING proud I am with everyone. Yet still – math is math – I know that better than anyone and I am certain everyone knows that I above most, know it as so. I will say now – I am NOT worried – but I am a bit more FOCUSED on execution. I have noticed everyone also showing more focused effort towards execution as such. Likely not a bad thing.
So where are we at really? I would LOVE to say soft launch in 2 weeks. It may be 3. I finished the newsletter tonight to the first 300 that signed up to follow WDA. I am delayed in sending until having the lawyers review it tomorrow. Bleh. (Any subs out there being marketing lawyers that I can exchange Domming for unlimited legal services? Cuz honestly that would be SO helpful right now…lol).
On the other UP side – we reviewed as a group some of the feedback from some of the “extended work family” couples that have been our testers for certain products. Nothing has come back even the slightest of hints of negative – and many have shared aspects of sensuality and new discoveries so intimately expressed in their words that there was a hint of a workplace orgy breaking out (No that would NEVER happen, but I am certain many of the crew will be going home to their loved ones with an APPETITE from those readings). My goodness what a wonderful endeavor this is….<Insert Wicked Smile Here>.
I have gotten a lot more feedback on our custom “Cobalt Corkscrew” (featured image on this post as well as on the post of “Screw You, Screw Me”) than I anticipated. BTW the factory is spinning up production on another run as we speak.
Couples Challenge: One of our Media Folk came up with an idea – and I wish to pose it to you now. The concept is simple – allow Wicked Daddy to “Profile” you as a couple (yes this is for couples) and then you pose sexual hurdles in your relationship that *might* be solved by Wicked Daddy providing some instruction as well as some product, and then we measure the results. The exchange is that you must write of the experience, and that you allow Wicked Daddy to also write of it. Her idea of this came from her asking me of a few of the experiences of mentoring that I have had that I was the most proud of. (She will be writing an Interview Style write-up of “Who is Wicked Daddy”, something she had started a few weeks ago, but the questions still keep coming.). Had I felt that I have time for this? HELL no. But every damn person in the production meetings prioritized two things for my “Super Power” (a concept we talk about <Super Powers> which is how to leverage every person across every crew for what they and they uniquely can offer. A concept I introduced but honestly thought I would be exempt from. Alas – they listened and I have to support). My two powers – My experiences, and my love of helping others. As bluntly reminded to me – “WD we need you to BLOG more, and we need you to HELP others more”. I have to agree. I authorized – 3 couples. (Sorry this round is for monogamous 2 person relationships). How to get involved? Email me personally: WickedDaddy@WickedDaddyAcademy.com Add the title of “Couples Product Challenge”. Let’s see how this goes. I’m game if you are.
Another Random Thought: (A tirade….sorry. I did my few classes over the last few weeks in both leather-working as well as glass blowing. I can tell you this. I am Autistic, NOT artistic. I now have an insane amount of appreciation for GOOD leather working and glass blowing. This will serve me well with some of the wonderful glass blown dildos you will find on the site as well as the hand made leathers that are soon to come). I have the talent in either dedicated skill equivalent to that of a person with tiny hands would have in trying to learn to play guitar. It *seems* to Wicked Daddy that those with small hands are more prone to being defensive and more apt at twitter than anything else. Perhaps they might be narcissists that excel at duping others (as they assuredly have over-duped themselves overcoming their own inadequacies and are skilled at it) than they are at actually accomplishing anything. I hate to draw parallels and potentially alienate consumers, but I *might* draw a parallel to a certain Small-Handed person in power who tweeted more of his successes in supporting *Ahem Pardoning* a known racist douche bag in a tweet while my twitter feeds following tweet was what informed me that my own late 20s aged cousin was one of the 18 people who was killed in the floods in Houston. I process at a different pace than others – but I am feeling emotions presently over this. I apologize. It is not my norm so I know it must be an impact for me personally (and not a place I am used to being in). BTW, my range of influence is far removed from the tweeter I reference, but regardless, I will do what he has not yet said : Here is how to donate to the Harvey Relief fund (I am sending you to the Facebook Support page as Facebook has pledged to match every dollar <Kudos FB>): https://www.facebook.com/funds4disaster ). Deep Breath. Did I not say this was a tirade?
Final random thought: I have spent more than a few years running groups for fortune 10 companies doing competitive analysis. I feel very qualified in validating how other organizations and companies work and operate. I have given up on finding the right charities to attach to for donating a % of all product proceeds to support positive sex culture education. So far, my best two charities are Planned Parenthood and the Humane Society (Albeit I do have several No-Kill animal shelters I prefer but are regional versus country wide). I have the same dilemma over Battered Women’s Shelters I support. They are local and not national. Question to you – my hopefully potential consumers – would you be offended if the charities that the proceeds of our sales support are small and local versus national? It has been an internal debate. That, as well as international charities. Feedback asked for…..
Thank you – and signing off tonight (well this morning).
